The ball must be too large for your dog to fit entirely into their mouth. That rule matters more than any breed chart.

How to measure
- Mouth width Open your dog's mouth and measure across at its widest point. Choose a ball wider than that measurement.
- When in doubt, size up An oversized ball is an inconvenience. An undersized one is a choking risk.
