Fewer, better decisions
A long catalogue is easy to build and hard to shop. We would rather carry one harness we can argue for than nine we cannot tell apart.
The story behind Scooth Pet
A UK pet shop built on a narrow idea: stock fewer things, explain them properly, and be reachable when something goes wrong.
Our beginning Why the range is small
Most pet shops solve the wrong problem. They give you two hundred water bowls and no way to tell which one your dog will actually drink from.
Scooth Pet started from the opposite end. We look at the routines that repeat every single day — the morning walk, the feed, the brush, the car journey, the bit of the sofa they have quietly claimed as theirs — and we ask which of those could be less annoying.
Then we go and find one good answer. Not twelve. One we can describe honestly, size correctly, and stand behind when a customer emails three weeks later.
That is why the range is deliberately narrow, and why every product page tells you what the thing is for before it tells you why it is wonderful.
Three commitments that decide what we stock and how we present it.
A long catalogue is easy to build and hard to shop. We would rather carry one harness we can argue for than nine we cannot tell apart.
Hydration, feeding, grooming, travel, play and rest. If a product does not belong to one of those routines, it does not belong here.
Buying online should not mean being on your own once the parcel arrives. Clear information first, and a real reply if you need one.
We start with the problem, never with the product. How every Scooth Pet listing begins
How a product gets in Four tests
If we cannot name the specific moment in the day it improves, it does not go in the range — however well it might sell.
We write every listing without superlatives first. If it still sounds worth buying once the adjectives are gone, it is worth stocking.
Most pet returns are sizing returns. Measurements and fit notes belong on the page before checkout, not in the FAQ afterwards.
Everything listed is something we are prepared to discuss weeks after the order shipped. That rule alone removes a lot of tempting products.
A product should earn its place in a routine, not just on a shelf.
Realistic expectations beat exaggerated claims, every time.
Behind every order is someone choosing for an animal they love.
The range and the shop should be better next quarter than this one.
What actually happens once you decide to order.
A focused selection for dogs and cats, grouped by everyday routine.
Sizing, materials and delivery timing sit on the page, before checkout.
Checkout runs on Shopify, with the payment methods available to you.
Tracking, status guidance and support if anything looks wrong.
Before you order The common ones
Timings vary by product and are shown on each product page before you buy. Full detail, including what happens if a parcel is delayed, is on our delivery page.
Sizing is the most common reason for a return, which is why we put measurements on the page. If it still does not fit, our returns page explains exactly what to do.
We serve the United Kingdom, with prices in pounds sterling and free delivery on every order.
Yes. Messages sent through our contact page reach the team that chose the products, not an outsourced desk.
It will not take long. That is rather the point.
